Machine Polishing
Machine polishing to remove wash marring and restore gloss, and the most common reason for a Fife booking.

Paint correction, ceramic protection and full detailing across south and west Fife. The crossing puts Dunfermline and the Forth coast within a sensible run of Livingston, and we confirm travel by postcode before anything is booked.

The honest diagnosis
We are based in Livingston, so Fife is a crossing away rather than a home postcode. That is worth being straight about. Dunfermline, Inverkeithing, Dalgety Bay, Aberdour, Rosyth and the Forth coast are a comparable run to parts of Edinburgh, and we work there. Deep into north-east Fife is a different proposition and only makes sense for larger detailing and protection work.
What we will not do is publish a page implying we are round the corner. If you want a twenty-five pound maintenance wash in Cupar, a local operator will serve you better and we will say so. If you want multi-stage correction, a ceramic coating or new-car protection done properly, the travel is worth it for both of us, and that is the work this page is really about.
The Forth coast also changes the recommendation. Cars kept in Aberdour, Burntisland, Dalgety Bay or North Queensferry sit in salt-laden air, which accelerates bonded contamination on paint, wheels and glass. Protection is a more useful spend in those postcodes than another wash.
Treatment options
These are the strongest matches for Fife. Prices come from the main service catalogue and rise only where vehicle size, condition or the treatment specification changes.

The treatment standard stays fixed. Access, vehicle condition and the space available determine whether the mobile setup is right for the job.
Send the postcode with the enquiry. We will tell you plainly whether the location works for the service you want, and if the job is too small to justify the run we will say that rather than pad the quote.
Salt air along the Forth builds contamination faster on paint, glass and wheels. A prepared and protected finish makes routine maintenance quicker; repeated washing alone does not solve it.
Multi-stage correction and coating curing need shelter and time. A driveway with a garage or carport makes a Fife visit straightforward; exposed on-street parking may rule out coating work entirely.
The VDS treatment plan
01
Send the Fife postcode, vehicle details and honest photos. We identify the likely service and flag anything that needs an inspection.
02
You get a clear treatment, price basis, expected result and access requirements. If a smaller package will solve it, that is what we recommend.
03
We complete the agreed work, inspect the finish and hand the vehicle back with the aftercare that applies to the service—not a generic sales script.
Faster, firmer quote
Practical coverage
This is a useful coverage guide, not a promise that every street suits every service. Postcode, access, weather and—for coating work—shelter are confirmed before booking.
Straight answers
South and west Fife, yes, and regularly. Further north and east depends on the job. Send the postcode and the service you are after and we will give you a straight answer rather than a maybe.
Travel is confirmed as part of the quote rather than applied as a hidden extra. For larger detailing and protection work it is usually absorbed. For very small jobs a long crossing may not be viable at all, and we will tell you that up front.
Salt-laden air along the Forth accelerates bonded contamination on paint, glass and wheels. A properly prepared and protected finish releases that contamination more easily, which makes safe washing quicker rather than unnecessary.
Usually not on its own, simply because the travel does not stack up for a short appointment. If a clean is what you need, a good local valeter is the sensible choice and we would rather point you there than take a booking that suits neither of us.
